In this way the growth never ends. Once a person has locked themselves down in a fixed belief system unwilling to look at the possibility that the doctrine has been plagerized or altered by problematic, dubious suspect doctrine the powers that be used within the religion to control the masses one is lost forever and enslaved. This is the very definition of cognitive dissonance, a stubborn mind that is imprisoned.
