Respectfully, you may want to look at Buddhist doctrine. Hermetic teachings are only a derivative of what the ancient Buddhist sutras teach. "As above so below," is a child's explanation of, "Ichinen Sanzen," The Three Thousand Realms in a Single Life Moment (life and environment are one).

From this understanding and reciting the right harmonic vibration one becomes one with the all. This understanding is the first stage of enlightenment; thus, when one sees this realm as it really is and realizes they are one with the all.

We are the sons and daughters of heaven and earth and live by the causal-loop by mastering cause and effect that is thus creating our karma. The reciting of the Sutra title corresponds to the pineal gland and the heart-mind (capital of thusness).

When one chants this Dharma Namo Myoho renge kyo it opens the seal of the innate enlightenment by activating the capital of thusness while vibrating the universal Dharma law within and without merging one with the all. The adherent will then bring forth the super-natural six paramitas of innate human abilities, which is our highest state.

We live in the dreaming state of the nine dharma realms. The awakened state is the harmonic ossolating mind-body awareness that knows the music to play to open the seal of enlightenment as master Tien'tai's (567 CE) Maka Shikan teaches us, which is an illusidation by its title from, The Law Flower Sutra.
