AS A DEVELOPER I COULD HAVE REMOVED THAT SPILL SAFELY BECUASE I KNOW HOW TO DO THE RESEARCH. IT WOULD HAVE COST MILLIONS TO CLEAN IT UP RIGHT, BUT THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN LITTLE RESIDUE

If people are asking how I would approach this catastrophe, a potential spill that may cost lives and destruction to the environment.

First, I would have evacuated everyone, and animals within the entire city and surrounding areas with any risk, and I would have had experts determine by real research and data that area.

That is the first assessment.

Is to know the potential of what we do next will have grave consequences; therefore, take a deep breath and contemplate the situation carefully by getting the best people involved. You create a commands center and the first people I would bring to the table is the top hazard material experts and people that truly understand the chemicals we are dealing with.

I want the top truckers that move oversized hazardous materials there, and make sure they are the top five best people on the planet. We also want the guys that run the biggest magnetic cranes, and I mean experts not joe six pack.

Use data and recourses available: DECONTAMINATION (nih.gov)

I want other experts like engineers, those that know trains, and environmental experts monitoring the real situation with water and air. With military medical teams by national guard. I would want the Amy Corp of engineers there to give advice with contractors that have moved large hazardous loads both militarily and domestically.

I want those that sell and can deliver large fuel bladders big enough to fit a derailed train into it and sealed for transport. We can hook the crane magnetic and ties to the wrecked vessels first and lift them onto the tucks after they are sealed into the bladders. We may have been able to freeze the chemical and ground depending on its stability to cold and freezing. There are "technology consists of exposing the product to an atmosphere of aprox. -60°C through direct contact with liquefied gases, usually nitrogen or carbon dioxide. There are two different types of freezers with cryogenic properties:"

Hook them up to the magnetic cranes, freeze the train section and lift them into the bladders and seal the large flexible bladders that could already be on the truck/ it may be the best method. If not, we could have sealed the area with large hazmat tent to contain the chemicals until we found a solution. These are just some ideas, but when you bring talent together you can solve problems. These kinds of serious spills must never be solved by politicians again. I am worried people may start getting very ill and may die in weeks, months, or years from this incident. My heart goes out to the entire city and all their dear animals, and the elderly effected.

I was thinking it may have been possible we could have placed the frozen train fragments into the fuel bladders and seal them and haul them away. It would have been expensive and difficult process but with the right team of people it would have been possible. We may have come up with a completely different method but with the right people assembled we could avoid such a hasty decision to burn and cause such a terrible environmental catastrophe as they have.
